Terms
Terms of use
This website is published by The Parkview Institute Inc, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Using it means these terms apply. They are short, because there is not much to say.

What is here, and what you may do with it
Everything published here is free to read, and there is no paywall and no account. The essays and the other writing on this site are the property of their authors or of the institute, and are protected by copyright.
Quote us. Link to us. Argue with us in public and cite what you are arguing with. What we ask is the ordinary courtesy of attribution and a link, and that you not republish a whole essay as though it were yours. For anything beyond a quotation, such as reprinting an essay in full, write and ask. The answer is usually yes.
Some essays first appeared at RealClearMarkets, Forbes, or elsewhere, and those publications hold their own rights in them. Where an essay names its original outlet, ask that outlet as well.
What this site is not
The writing here is commentary and economics education. It is not investment advice, tax advice, or legal advice, and no essay here is a recommendation to buy or sell anything. Decisions about your own money are yours, and are worth taking to someone licensed to advise you on them.
We work to keep the site accurate and available, and we do not promise that it is free of errors or never offline. It is provided as it is. Where an error is pointed out, we would rather fix it than defend it, so tell us.
Donations
The Parkview Institute Inc is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, EIN 93-1374330. Contributions are tax deductible to the extent the law allows, and a receipt reaches your inbox when a gift goes through. Gifts fund the institute’s work generally rather than any one essay or project.
A monthly gift continues until you end it, and you can end it at any time by writing to us. If a gift was made in error, or in an amount you did not intend, tell us and we will refund it.
Links to other sites
We link to other people’s writing constantly, because an argument you cannot check is not worth much. Those sites are not ours, and we are not responsible for what is on them or what they do with your information.
Changes
These terms may change, and the date at the top of the page changes with them.
